Brand Storytelling Video of a Social Scientist

An Award-Winning Professor and Social Scientist Approached Us to Shoot a Personal Brand Video Story at Quick Turnaround. Here’s How We Did It Through Our Brand Storytelling Video Service

Dr. Rasheda Weaver spent her childhood in the Bronx.

Living in a crime-rich neighborhood made her wonder how to escape the community’s poverty by not becoming a drug dealer (as she jokingly said, one option available for her)

Listening to her story helped us understand why her advocacy needed to be shared in the community

When she reached us for a brand storytelling video, her goal was to communicate her passion to her audience

She aimed for her audience to view her as a woman who believed in becoming a successful person one day. And transformed into the accomplished individual she is today.

She wanted the brand storytelling video project to be quick, yet still look cinematic.

For this project, we completed the video in 3 weeks.

3-Step Brand Storytelling Video Production Process

We didn’t hesitate to accept the project because we’re confident in our efficient 3-Step Production Process. It has been our weapon for all the quick turnaround projects we worked on in the past.

When you book our service, you will also undergo the same process that Dr. Weaver goes through.

Introductory Video Call

We kick off our project with a video call. We prefer this method because it speeds up our approach to familiarize ourselves with you and your business.

The introductory video call is also the best time where we can meet virtually. We promise to give you an energetic and enthusiastic vibe during the call.

Despite Dr. Weaver’s hectic schedule, she spared her time for a discussion.

It was a productive call as we accomplished a lot of topics in 30 minutes.

Here’s what we covered during the call:

  • Dr. Weaver’s Vision

We wanted to be in the same spot regarding what she wanted to achieve in her video.

Her vision gave us insights into her personal goals that helped us align our brand storytelling strategy with her brand identity and value.

Discussing the vision also helped us to suggest an improved video style and ensured the message remained clear and coherent.

  • Expectations and Services

We also discussed the expectations, and services needed during the shoot.

It was the best time for her to ask us about things she was confused about. At this stage, we disclosed the equipment available for a seamless shooting process.

  • Involvement in the Project

We presented her with a project timeline that outlined the various stages involved.

We specifically identified key phases where her input and opinion were crucial. Then, we discussed the stages in which our team would handle the work independently and elaborated on our editing process.

Pre-production Process for Brand Storytelling Video

The pre-production process provides more detailed information about the project.

We ask for all the information we need from you. We have a Pre-production Document that includes the following:

  • Shot Selections
  • Location Selections
  • Clothing Guidelines
  • Sample Photos
  • Sample Videos

You’ll have this copy via Google Drive Document, so you can review it on your end.

Because Dr. Weaver cooperated well in this project, we minimized a lot of email exchanges. She provided all the information and materials we needed about her business.

This saved us a lot of time, and we were able to work on the project as soon as we completed the materials.

Pro Tip

The more detailed information you provide us, the better we can position you as an expert in your field.

During this stage, we also do the script-building process.

We came up with a storyboard to put the shot selection in place for brand storytelling video.

We also provided an explanation of the shots we will need and will be taking on the day of the shoot.

Production Process for Brand Storytelling Video

The production process includes the shooting day plus the capturing of audio and editing of the video for the final output.

Because Dr. Weaver grew up in the Bronx, she wanted to showcase how anyone can overcome challenges despite growing up in certain neighborhoods.

To show her past and current status in a video, we shoot at two different locations:

  • Bronx (Showcases the neighborhood where she grew up)
  • Current Location (Represents her present profession)

Interviews and b-rolls were shot in the studio for a smooth process. We also captured the audio in the studio. Choosing this venue helped us create multiple videos within a few hours.

Since Dr. Weaver didn’t have archival footage of growing up, we did some improvisation. We used her apartment, the train station and visited her university to incorporate the brand story video.

Why Does Our Process Work?

Our quick turnaround delivery doesn’t mean it’s rush work. Rushing the delivery of brand story videos results in missed details in the final output leading to a re-shoot.

Because we have a Pre-production Document, you can visualize the final video, ensuring no details are missed, giving you a guarantee that you receive a professional and polished video.

We provide studio shots, allowing us to produce multiple videos in hours. Our improvisation technique enhances the quality of b-rolls, resulting in more cohesive content.

Whether it’s a personal brand video or a company story video, we have several brand storytelling video examples in our portfolio
